Around 9:45 p.m on Sunday, July 18th an accident occurred on Highway 19.
Sharla Shipman (age 54) was headed eastbound on Highway 19 in a 1999 Chevy Tracker as a 2011 Honda Accord was headed westbound on the highway.
Officials report that Shipman’s vehicle crossed the center line and hit the Accord head on.
Shipman was pinned for about 30 minutes and had to be freed by the Pauls Valley and Maysville Fire Departments.
Shipman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials are still trying to determine what lead to the crash.
