Crash in Central Oklahoma kills 2 children, 1 adult

A car crash took place on Oklahoma Highway 51, 15.4 miles west of Hennessey in Kingfisher County. The crash happened approximately at 10:01 p.m. on Thursday, July 8th.

According to OHP officials have said a man was driving a tractor east in the south ditch on Highway 51. The driver of the tractor then  entered the road way to travel the around a culvert.

A Peterbilt semi-truck driven by a Texas man, age 58, was driving east on Highway 51 and approached the rear of the tractor. The semi-truck driver then swerved to avoid the tractor and went into the westbound lane.

In the Westbound lane was a 2001 Ford Taurus driven by Sergio Adrian Lopez Garcia, age 33. Garcia swerved to avoid colliding with the semi-truck, but both vehicles went into the north ditch and collided.

The driver of the semi truck was not injured

Sadly Garcia and his two children, 11-year-old male and six-year-old male, died at the scene.
