A fatal accident on Interstate 35 left one dead Sunday, February 14th. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Chevin Webb, of Manhattan, Kansas, was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision with a semi-truck.

Webb and a semi-truck were both traveling northbound on a slick I-35, two miles south of Braman, in Kay County. According to the OHP, Webb lost control of his vehicle and veered off the roadway, striking a bridge railing. His vehicle spun and came to a stop in the roadway. The driver of the semi-truck was unable to stop and struck Webb.

Sadly, Webb was pronounced dead from head and internal trunk injuries. Our thought and prayers are with the family of the victim.

The driver of the semi-truck was unharmed.

Authorities listed the official cause of the accident as “driving too fast for road conditions.”
