Single-Vehicle Crash Injures Two Juveniles in Carter County

Two were injured on Saturday, January 16th, in Carter County. The accident occurred on Crest Road, three miles north of Wilson.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old male driver lost control of the vehicle while approaching a curve, veering off the roadway, and striking a tree. The driver was transported to Ardmore Mercy Hospital, where he was treated and released.

A 15-year-old female passenger from Ringling sustained a leg injury and was transported to Medical City Denton in Texas. Her condition upon admittance was reported as stable.

The official cause of the crash was declared unsafe speed on a curve or turn. Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.
