Wednesday, July 14th an accident occurred near 690 Road and 213 Court, three miles east of Wagoner. .
An ATV went off the road and hit a culvert which caused two people to be thrown off the ATV.
The passenger, Ashely Stowers-Rector (age 33) had to be transported by Tulsa Lifeflight to St John Hospital in Tulsa. She was admitted to the hospital in critical condition with injuries to the head, arms, and legs.
The driver, Dustin T. Barney (age 26) was treated and released with a leg injury after being transported by Wagoner EMS to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Officials are still unclear on how far the occupants were thrown from the ATV. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
