The night of Sunday, July 4th a woman in a motorized wheelchair was hit in an auto-pedestrian accident. This accident took place as a woman was traveling southbound on South Shield Blvd approaching SE 89th street.
The car that hit her was also traveling southbound on on South Shield Blvd and hit the woman from behind.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
The driver of the car did stay on the scene and cooperated with the police.
