A boat accident took place around 7:30 a.m. between Wood Island and Sanders Island View at Lake Texoma.
Officials report that steering on the boat malfunctioned causing the boat to make a sharp left, ejecting its three passengers. The boat then started to circle, striking all three passengers.
Two of the passengers, Dee Hines (age 80) and Eddie Hines (age 62) were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the boat was rescued by witnesses in another boat, transported to a local hospital and later released.
