Multi-Car Crash Kills 1 in Grady County

At approximately 8:47 a.m. Wednesday, July 28th a four vehicle crash took place killing one individuals.

Samantha Gunnoe (age 36) was driving a 2009 Dodge Charger east on a US 81 cut-through when she crossed in front of a southbound 2021 Ford Fusion just outside of Chickasha.

The fusion then struck the driver’s side of the Dodge Charger. Which sent the vehicle into US 81’s northbound lane where it was then hit by a 2019 Ford F150.

The Charger was then sent southwest across the southbound lanes and went off the right side of the road. Where it then struck a metal gate and a legally parked vehicle on private property.

Gunnoe was pinned in her vehicle for about 10 minutes before Chickasha firefighters were able to free her.

Gunnoe  was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital on Wednesday.

The driver of the Fusion was treated at Grady memorial Hospital for arm and internal torso injuries.

The occupants of the Ford F150 were not injured.

The cause of the collision has been listed as a failure to yield at a through highway.
