RV Hits and Kills Pedestrian in Norman off of I-35

On Tuesday, January 8th right after 10 p.m. a pedestrian was hit by an RV on I-35. The crash took place southbound on I-35 at Main street in Norman, Oklahoma.

The pedestrian, Forrest Ford (age 26), had entered the roadway attempting to cross the interstate westbound to eastbound. Ford was then struck by the RV, killed, and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passengers of the RV were uninjured according to the collision report.

From 2015 to 2019 there have been 88 pedestrian involved crashes just in Norman. 30 of which resulted in serious injuries or where fatal.
