A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in I-40 going east at approximately 2:31 a.m. according to Highway Patrol officials.
The pedestrian suffered from injuries to the head, arm, leg, and the internal and external torso area. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene
The vehicle left the scene, but two other vehicles were involved in the accident. The two other vehicles were, a 2018 Freightliner and a 2004 Nissan Murano.
Details on how the accident occurred are not available at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
