Sunday, July 25th just after 7:30 p.m. a collision occurred near the intersection of State Highway 67 and South Elwood Avenue.
Police report, a SUV was driving southbound on Peoria when it crossed State Highway 67 after running a stop sign. This caused a car driving eastbound to T-bone the car.
The two individuals, Mabel Williams (age 47) and William Sampson (age 46), in the SUV were ejected from the car and died.
The driver of the other vehicle was pinned for about 15 minutes until the Glenpool Fire Department were able to save him. The Drive and the passenger are recovering in the hospital currently.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
