Fourth of July Car Crash In Murray County Leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

Saturday July 3rd a fatal car crash took place 2 miles south of Davis, Murray County. The crass occurred on Interstate 35 northbound at the 53.5 mile marker.

The preliminary investigation has found that a 2010 Nissan Sentra departed the roadway to the right and reportedly hit the 35-foot gooseneck trailer of a 2019 GMC Pickup. The Sentra then came to a rest, where a passenger was ejected a short distance from the car.

The driver was taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in critical condition with serious head and trunk injuries. The passenger was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation at this time.
