At approximately 10:01 pm. Thursday July 8th an accident occurred involving three vehicles east of Okeene near the Kingfisher-Blain County Lane on Oklahoma 51.
Jake Sinclair (age 19) was driving a 1989 John Deere Tractor eastbound in the south ditch of Oklahoma 51, then entered the road way to travel around a culvert. Gordon Henry (age 58) approached the rear of the tractor in a 2015 Peterbilt semi-trailer and swerved left to avoid hitting Sinclair, then entering the westbound, lane according to reports.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that Sergio Adrain Lopez Garcia (age 33) was traveling westbound on Oklahoma 51 in a 2001 Ford Taurus and took evasive action to avoid the semi. Both vehicles entered the north ditch and collided.
Garcia and two juveniles (ages 6 and 11) were all pronounced dead at the scene from their injuries sustained in the collision.
The condition of all three drivers involved in the accident and the cause of the collision are under investigation.
The driver of the tractor and the semi were not injured.
