One Dead, One Injured in OKC Wrong-Way Collision

One woman was killed, and another was injured in an Oklahoma City head-on collision on Sunday, May 23rd. The crash happened on Interstate 40 near Interstate 235.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Brooklyn Murphy was traveling in the wrong lane of traffic when she struck a vehicle driven by Erika Almanza. A third vehicle then crashed into the accident.

Sadly, Murphy was pronounced dead at the scene. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Almanza sustained critical injuries and was transported to OU Medical Center. No information is available about the driver of the third vehicle.
