Elderly Weatherford Woman Killed in Caddo County Collision

A fatal collision occurred in Caddo County on Saturday, May 8th, at approximately 1:30 p.m. The crash happened on Oklahoma 58, near Eakly.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the passenger in the vehicle, a 71-year-old Weatherford woman, was killed in the single-vehicle accident. Reports stated the driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old, turned to speak to the passenger and veered off the road. The driver overcorrected, causing the car to roll before coming to a stop in a ditch.

The passenger was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to OU Medical Center and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim.

The cause of the accident was listed as “inattentive driving.”
