Three Dead, Four injured in Payne County Multi-Vehicle Crash

A crash left two children and one man dead after a multi-vehicle accident on Saturday, April 10th, around 10:45 p.m. The collision occurred on State Highway 33 near Cottonwood Road, just west of Perkins.

Sadly, two young children, ages 4 and 7, and 19-year-old Braden O’Rourke, were pronounced dead at the scene. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victims.

Four other people also sustained injuries in the crash and were transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Among the injured was a 3-year-old child, a 20-year-old Guthrie woman, a 19-year-old Del City woman, and a 21-year-old man. The two women were admitted in critical condition. The child and the man were both reportedly in stable condition.

The circumstances of the accident are still under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

Did you know in 2019 there were 149 fatal and injury collisions in Payne County (Stillwater, Cushing, Perkins)? Of the total 188 people injured, sadly 12 died as a result of their injuries.
