17-Year-Old Arrested Following Collision and Attempted Carjacking

The Owasso Police Department arrested a 17-year-old boy following an injury collision and attempted carjacking. The crash occurred at 126th Street North and 129th East Avenue in Owasso.

According to police, a 17-year-old boy from Tulsa was driving a Volkswagen when he failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into an oncoming northbound vehicle. The Volkswagen continued on, eventually crashing into a fence. The driver then attempted to carjack a vehicle unrelated to the crash but was subdued and taken into custody.

The victim of the first accident sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Reports stated the 17-year-old was driving under the influence and was taken to the hospital for treatment before he will face several charges.
