The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to a deadly auto-pedestrian crash on Friday, February 26th, around 6:30 p.m. The accident occurred on U.S. 75 at West County Road 2900, approximately four miles east of Ochelata.

According to the OHP, 66-year-old Claudia McCauley, of Grove, hit two pedestrians with her 2013 Jeep Patriot. She was uninjured.

Tragically, 22-year-old Sarah Shreve of Eucha was pronounced dead at the scene. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim.

The other pedestrian, a 15-year-old boy from Eucha, was transported to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa and admitted in critical condition. He was treated for head and leg injuries, as well as internal and external trunk injuries.

Shreve and the 15-year-old boy were reportedly walking to the Monday’s Gas Station when they were struck by McCauley.

The crash is still under investigation. More information will be provided as the story develops.
