A single-vehicle crash injured two on Friday morning, March 5th, in Comanche County. The accident happened on Hurst Road, just south of Logue Chapel Road and east of Faxon.
According to authorities, the 21-year-old driver, Shelby Underwood, of Tool, was traveling southbound on Hurst Road with passenger, 19-year-old Cody Sweeden, of Lawton, when Underwood lost control of the vehicle. Investigators stated the vehicle was driving too fast, causing the car to veer off the roadway into a ditch, overturn, and come to a rest on the passenger side.
Underwood was flown to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls in critical condition. Sweeden was transported to Comanche County Memorial Hospital, treated, and released.
More information about the crash will be provided as it becomes available.
