Carter County Vehicle Collision Injures Two

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Tuesday, March 2nd, around 6:30 p.m. The accident happened near Dickson on US-70, near Dickson Road.

According to the OHP, a 16-year-old Ardmore boy was traveling southbound on US-70 when he failed to yield and was struck by an oncoming truck driven by 60-year-old Andrew Jay, of Madill.

A 16-year-old passenger in the teen driver’s vehicle was transported to Medical City Plano, admitted in critical condition.

Jay was also transported to Medical City Plano and admitted in stable condition.

The 16-year-old driver was transported to a local hospital, treated, and released in good condition.
