19-Year-Old Killed Following Motorcycle Accident in Stillwater

The Stillwater Police Department responded to a fatal motorcycle accident on Friday, March 19th, around 8:30 p.m. The crash happened at the 4500 block of West 6th Avenue.

According to authorities, a vehicle failed to yield from a private drive and pulled out in front of an oncoming motorcycle. The motorcycle driver, 19-year-old Christopher Dylan Howerton, was unable to stop in time and crashed into the side of the car.

Howerton and a passenger were thrown from the motorcycle. Sadly, Howerton was pronounced dead after being transported to Stillwater Medical Center. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim.

No other injuries have been reported at this time. The investigation into this accident is ongoing, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
