Failure to Stop Results in Three Injured in LeFlore County

A collision with injuries occurred on February 4th, at approximately 11:57 a.m. The accident was located on U.S. Highway 271, north of Panama in LeFlore County.

Christen Langdell, of Bokoshe, was traveling eastbound on State Highway 31 when the collision occurred. Donald McAlvain, of Stigler, was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 271 with passenger, Sharon McAlvain. According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Langdell failed to stop at a stop sign and was then struck by McAlvain.

Langdell was ejected from the vehicle onto the center median. She was transported to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa for treatment of multiple injuries.

Both Donald and Sharon McAlvain were transported to Mercy Hospital Fort Smith in Arkansas to be treated for head and neck injuries.

OHP reported seatbelts were not worn in either vehicle.
