Head-On Collision Kills Crescent Woman in Logan County

A head-on collision in Logan County left one dead on January 19th. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 79-year-old Barbara Heflin, of Crescent, was killed after being hit head-on in a crash on State Highway 33 and Pennsylvania Avenue, five miles west of Guthrie.

Authorities reported a 32-year-old Guthrie man was reaching over to his passenger seat when he crossed the centerline and struck Heflin head-on. Sadly, Heflin was pronounced dead at the scene. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim.

Official cause of the collision was listed as “inattention.”
