2 men stole beer from store pointed gun at clerk

Wednesday, July 6th, 2011

Two men who stole packs of beer at a convenience store pointed a pistol at the clerk after they were unable to escape through a locked door, police said.

Oklahoma City Police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said the robbery happened about 2 a.m. May 21 at a 7-Eleven store at 1520 SW 59. Knight said the men grabbed two 20-packs of beer and tried to leave without paying.

The robbers tried to leave through a locked glass door and became frustrated when they couldn’t get it open. One of them pointed a pistol at the store clerk and told him to unlock it.

The clerk told the men to exit through another door that was unlocked, Knight said. No one was injured.

‘Pantyhose Posse’ Suspects Arrested in Oklahoma City

Monday, June 6th, 2011

FBI agents and police have arrested two men believed to be involved in a series of bank robberies in Oklahoma City.

Edmond Joseph Itson, 52, of Tulsa, and Terry Lee Kinney, 58, of Oklahoma City, were arrested Thursday at a shopping center at SW 89 and Pennsylvania Avenue, Special Agent Clayton Simmonds said. The two men had been called the Pantyhose Posse by investigators.

Agents believe the two men robbed a MidFirst Bank on May 23. Evidence recovered from that robbery pointed to Kinney as a suspect. Agents began surveillance on Kinney and discovered he was associated with Itson.

Agents said the two men were observed driving through the parking lots of several banks in Oklahoma City, Moore and Norman. At the time of their arrest, agents said Kinney and Itson were in Itson’s black Dodge Ram pickup with pantyhose and a black plastic firearm.

The men are also believed to have been involved in robberies at a Bank of Oklahoma branch at 4324 SE 44 on May 6 and a Coppermark Bank at 6809 N Meridian on May 11.
