Wednesday, June 29th, 2011A man accused of entering a house with a gun to confront his wife’s former employer was arrested on a burglary complaint, local police said.
Ronald Joe Stone, 60, of Edmond, also is named in complaints of carrying a firearm while committing a felony and unlawfully carrying a firearm. He was free from Oklahoma County jail Monday on $15,500 bail.
Police were called to a home on Old Bugle Road on Friday morning when the resident reported a man was kicking the front door and pointing a gun at the peep hole, Edmond police stated in a report released Monday.
When police arrived, they saw a man go into the backyard and then open the rear sliding door and start to enter the house. He had a semi-automatic pistol in his front right pocket, the report shows.
Stone told police his wife was laid off by the resident of the house, and Stone could not get the resident to talk to him over the phone, the report states.
The victim confirmed he is a former employer of Stone’s wife, the report states.
Stone’s van was found in the driveway.
