Altus man was convicted of slaying drug charges Hombre de Altus fue declarado culpable de asesinato cargos de drogas
A Jackson County jury has convicted an Altus man on felony murder and drug charges.
The jury Friday found 29-year-old Patrick Robinson guilty in the May 2009 shooting and stabbing death of 34-year-old Hai Phan while robbing him outside a southwest Lawton apartment complex.
Robinson acknowledged he was a drug dealer — but said he didn’t know his four co-defendants planned to rob Phan.
Co-defendant Sedrick Sanders pleaded guilty to murder and conspiracy charges in the case and is now serving a life sentence. The other three co-defendants pleaded guilty to charges ranging from conspiracy to commit robbery to being an accessory after the fact.
Formal sentencing for Robinson is set for July 28.
